I grabbed a breakfast burrito here. Pretty top notch breakfast burrito. I want to go back and try other options.

Sooo good, easy quick service, tasty and large portions, nice backyard area. Came for a quick lunch and quickly found myself enjoying an amazing Torta, and they have a lot of options with different meats and 2 sizes as well. Honestly you would probably be fine with the smaller size. Delicious and I'll come back!

Very big portions - the junior sized tortas were more than filling! Their sauces are also very good - we devoured almost half the container of green sauce as a table. The torta itself was good - it wasn't soggy at all, but was juicy and flavorful. We tried two of their agua frescas as well, I think the guava was not my favorite but the cantaloupe one slapped. They have some indoor seating, but also seating outside behind the restaurant surrounded by greenery, which was nice!

The torta was flavorful and had so much depth to it! I really liked the fresh avocados paired with the pork. I thought the works/the toppings would be overwhelming (tempted to omit certain things like mayo or the onions), but since it was my first time, i had to try it as is, though i did ask for less jalapenos. The ratio of toppings was perfect and nothing was really competing against another. The bread was pillowy soft on the inside but crispy on the outside. There was a bit too much oil, otherwise super tasty. The complimentary salsas were tasty, the green one is a refreshing spice. It was 11$ for a junior torta which is a good size for one person. They have seasonal aguas (didnt try it but they had cantaloupe and strawberry!). You can find free 1 hr parking in the nearby streets. I saw a lot of people stop in for to-go orders. Not crowded at all for Monday lunch. The vibe was quaint, music wasnt too loud. Lots of wall decorations were focused on their tv appearance. Would come again to try another torta!

These Mexican sandwiches are just like back home. That's because the family that runs this spot is from el estado de Puebla en Mexico. If you didn't know Puebla is known for its flavorful cuisine. These folks are just like Tio n Tia. Hella loving and welcoming & never forget a face. Despite needing to increase prices, people keep coming back because they make us feel like we are a part of their family. And that's exactly what the patio feels like too. Warm with the sun and lots of plants. One star down bc the last time I went, that beautiful patio experience was less than bc of the dog pee smell. It's cool to be dog friendly, maybe just hit the patio a little more so people don't smell that strong stench while they eat.

For work I am sometimes based at the general, and this yummy torta place is just a hop skip and jump away, so I find myself becoming a repeat customer here! Upon entering I am always seated within seconds, with my choice of where to sit which I love. Also always given the friendliest smile once I walk in and that really does feel great! The environment is very cute inside giving it an authentic feel, I have yet to try their outside back- patio but I am looking forward to it! The food is well-priced, and always super yummy! My favorite is the chorizo torta, and their aguas are yummy too! The agua de sandía i got here was perfect, not too sugary and very refreshing. I will definitely keep coming back here and recommend other folks try it too!

As an SF native, I'm ashamed I just visited this delicious slice of torta heaven now. We had to try Food Networks 2015 #2 Best Sandwich in America - the Pierna Enchilada (Pulled Pork) - but all of the tortas looked delicious. I chose to have everything on it, and the amount of jalapenos did not disappoint. The torta is delicious and huge - everything you would want in the second best sandwich in america. I ordered the smaller size and could have split it with a friend. And the prices are still 2015 levels! Given that they have such esteemed dishes, the wait time was around 20 minutes on a weekday afternoon. There's no reservations or wait list so you have to stick around. It's well worth the wait, and there's a cozy patio in the back if the weather is nice. It may have have taken me decades to get here, but it definitely won't take that long for my next visit!

Colorful torta shop that I always pass by. Glad I got to try it. Service is nice. Lots of options but everything was a bit bland and not particularly memorable. Definitely a hefty meal though! We ordered for takeout but they had a lot of indoor seating and a large patio in the back.

La Torta Gorda What can I say? Been coming here since I was a young girl. This was a go -to spot for my family. Loved sitting at the counter as kid and still as an adult. Besides counter single seats, the majority of seating is on the opposite side of counter space. Not the biggest place but just the right amount of space. We ordered 2 tortas (we go halfsies every time). I order the carne asada torta with the works. I always get mine with a side of the green sauce because I love the spice. These things are pretty hefty, the meat is always seasoned and cooked to perfection, fresh avocado with the extra jalapeños it's hard to not love this. The only thing I'll say this time around is the bread was giving day old dry. Like it could've been toasted to give a better. He ordered the torta milanesa (chicken) with the works. Again! Delicious, meat cooked and seasoned to perfection, with the avaocado, cheese and extra jalapeno. Don't let me forget the refried black beans too! Again it was the bread that didn't do this torta justice. But all in all I'd recommend, an 8 out 10 for both
